DESCRIPTION
Fight off waves of bandits as they try to get their hands on your gold, disrupt your refineries, or rob the train you're loading!
'Bloons at High Noon is a Wild West-inspired tower defense!
Construct thematic turrets, fight off the bandits and zip around the map as you manage and upgrade your six shooters, arc columns and fire spitters!
I was the artist for this project, my main focus was on building upon my experience working in Blender with the intent of outputting optimized game-ready assets. The style was inspired by the 3D models of Gareth Davies and the "generalized" 3D Indie Game style. Created as a final project for 3rd-year Game Design at The University of Witwatersrand.

Some of these assets were retextured in Substance Painter as a test and first foray into the world of Substance Painter

These screenshots were taken from the current version of the game, without any updated assets. This serves as a nice comparison regarding my progress with texturing and modelling and the second reason is that it would be easier to rebuild the game from the ground up; taking one's time to adjust, improve and add to the game isntead of struggling with unoptimized code and system design.
3D models
The models below are examples of my work with Substance Painter, I am currently still learning the pipeline and how to handle UV unwrapping between Blender and SP but as a proof of concept they serve their purpose.
